Where did I learn to organize?

I taught myself! There was 7 of us in my house growing up and I had a natural inclination to “optimize” spaces. When I’d be buried in an avalanche of winter accessories just by trying to grab my coat out of the coat closet (we lived in Minnesota) I would think to myself It really doesn’t have to be this way… and because I find it both fun and rewarding, I’ve been taking it upon myself to make spaces better, ever since.

Books I’ve read on organization

  • Dana K Decluttering at the Speed of Life
  • KC Davis How to Keep House While Drowning
  • Marie Kondo The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up

What else do I do?

I am a visual artist currently focused on printing my photography in the darkroom (check out the photos on this site to see a couple of my landscape shots.) I love to take portraits and am looking for clients to work with for graduation photos this spring, 2026. I graduated from UW with a degree in creative writing in 2024. And I’ve also been slowly learning how to build furniture this last year 🙂
