Services + Process
My Approach

The most important part of my job is to listen to your needs and preferences and give you the result you’re looking for. No space is too disorganized, or too full of things to be made functional and aesthetically pleasing. I use my creativity and love of physical tasks to help people like you use their spaces with more peace. Transforming a space takes a lot of energy and getting help with that is a kindness everyone deserves.

Decluttering vs. Organizing

We’ll begin by decluttering your space. This is crucial because if we were to simply organize everything that already “lives” in the space, the ‘unmanageability’ of the space will persist. The goal of decluttering is to

  • get rid of what you don’t want
  • get rid of or move what cannot fit in the space
Organizing

After decluttering we will make sure every item has a home that is easily accessible and resides somewhere you will actually look for it.

One on one skills learning

We work side by side so that you get to learn and practice new skills and gradually uncover and clarify your preferences.

Cleaning

As we go along I will use my cleaning supplies to insure everything is fresh and clean.

Tool Kit

The supplies I bring are included in the flat rate and will be everything I need to get us going – hooks, labels, envelopes, rubber bands etc.

In my experience, you will already own 99% of the containers you need to consolidate your items (even if you may not feel that way). I will help you find them, so don’t worry about buying anything before our project day.

Detailed to-buy list

Any products we discover you do need will be included in an emailed document with links and instructions. I will also leave you with a ‘reminders’ page to hang in your newly organized space.

Haul - Away

I can take the donations and items that need special recycling with me (up to one car full).

I donate furniture to Habitat for Humanity, women’s clothing to Jubilee Women’s Center and other clothing and household goods to St. Francis House Seattle.

"Resetting"

After our project day it’s your turn to implement resetting when things get messy again. You will practice the methods I taught you and can always text me if you need some reminders or get stuck.

You may find you enjoy having more space so much that you feel ready to declutter even further. Whether it be the same space again or a new space, just text me and we can do it together.

Design

“While design is a part of organizing from the very start, I do offer additional design services which I recommend to anyone who has an aesthetic vision for their space that they’re unsure of how to cultivate. Read more on my ‘Design’ tab
